Of course, English cuisine is far from French or Italian in popularity, and the English themselves speak of their national culinary with irony. Perhaps, except in the UK you will not find in the restaurants traditional dishes of English cuisine. Of the recipes that have won world fame, only sandwiches, roast beef and puddings are recalled.

However, this does not mean that there is nothing interesting in the English menu. Firstly, one cannot fail to note the variety of pastries - pies, cookies, rolls and muffins, which are served with traditional English tea.

England is the only country where, according to legend, fried beef was officially elevated to the rank of food of aristocrats. In 1617, the thigh of the bull was "knighted." National dishes are roast beef and beef steak. On top is a crispy crust, juicy and pink inside, and no fat getting cold on a plate - this is the traditional roast beef with Yorkshire pudding. English puddings are striking in variety - both sweet, and meat, and vegetable, which are served both for dessert and as a second course, is the pride of English cooking. Good and varied casseroles with meat and potatoes, as well as sauces, for example, cranberry, which goes well with meat and poultry dishes.

An Englishman’s day usually begins with morning tea or orange juice, which is drunk in bed. For breakfast, they usually serve liquid oatmeal (porridge), eggs, bacon, fish or sausages.

Lunch (lunch) is served at half past one. It includes meat dishes: bacon, small sausages with toast, grilled kidneys, steaks and roast beefs, which are served with various sauces and marinades, as well as vegetables or potatoes for garnish.

For dinner, which falls in England at 19-20 hours, served appetizers, soups, meat, desserts. Of the first courses, the British prefer mashed soups, broths, boiled pieces of meat, eggs, noodles, fresh vegetables, etc. are separately served to them. At five o'clock, all of England drinks tea. Five o’clock tea is one of the most famous English traditions abroad. There are several places in London where exemplary tea ceremonies are held. They say that this ceremony was conceived by the English aristocracy solely with the aim of showing their chosenness. While ordinary people were just walking home from work, looking forward to a hearty dinner, aristocrats sat down to drink tea with delicious snacks. But today, only the Buckingham Palace adheres to the old tradition, and the whole country enjoys drinking tea at different times.
