Tsaziki

Tsaziki



This popular Greek appetizer can be spread on bread.

1 long cucumber
500 g thick yogurt
4 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed,
2 tbsp olive oil,
1 tbsp white wine vinegar,
1 tbsp chopped dill,
olives for decoration.

Grate the cucumber and squeeze out the excess liquid. Transfer to a bowl and mix with yogurt, garlic, olive oil and wine vinegar. Season with salt and pepper and put in a serving bowl. Sprinkle dill on top and garnish with olives. Serve with lightly toasted pita bread cut into strips.
