Tortillas
Tortillas are eaten with a very spicy sauce, usually they are stuffed with something or just slightly baked and served fresh and warm. They resemble our omelet, only cook them without eggs and sugar. The peasant uses tortillas instead of a spoon: he folds in the form of a small bag and eats with it.
4 cups flour
2 teaspoons of salt
100-120 g margarine
1-1.25 cups of warm water.
Mix flour with salt, sift through a sieve, add fat, add water, knead the dough. From the dough, prepare balls the size of an egg, let them lie for 15 minutes and then roll each ball into a circle the size of a saucer or a little more.
Fry the tortillas in a non-greasy pan for about 2 minutes on one side and 3 minutes on the other.
