Chirashi
You will not find sushi according to this recipe in Japanese restaurants - this is a traditional family dish, which is prepared for Girls' Day and decorated with sakura flowers. Easy to prepare, a good choice to start exploring sushi.
2 cup sushi rice
1 tbsp. a spoonful of sesame seeds toasted
½ tbsp tablespoons chopped pickled ginger
1 tbsp. a spoonful of smoked or grilled salmon slices
1 tbsp. a spoonful of smoked or grilled eel slices
1 serving of shiitake mushrooms with spices, sliced in 3 cm slices
1 stalk of asparagus, boiled and cut into slices of 1 cm
1 teaspoon boiled sweet corn
Shiitake mushrooms with spices
50 g dried shiitake mushrooms
Half a glass of water
1 tbsp. spoon of sugar
1 tbsp. Mirin's spoon
1 tbsp. spoon sake
2 tbsp. tablespoons of soy sauce
Pour mushrooms with water and leave overnight. Drain, transfer to pan, add water and bring to a boil. Add sugar, sake and mirin. Cook until then. Until the sauce is doubled. Add soy sauce and cook until liquid evaporates.
Put rice in a bowl, add sesame seeds and ginger. Mix the ingredients with your hands. Transfer the mixture to a ceramic bowl with a flat bottom, add the remaining products and mix gently.
