Cinnamon or Cardamom Buns

Cinnamon or Cardamom Buns

500 ml of milk
50 g yeast
1 egg
150 g sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp cardamom or cinnamon
1 kg plain flour
100-150 g margarine or butter

Heat the milk. Dissolve the yeast in a bowl with warm milk. Add the egg, sugar, salt and cardamom. Add a little flour to make a thick mixture, and beat until it becomes shiny.

Add the remaining flour to the dough and knead by hand. Set aside some flour for rolling the buns and continue to knead the dough until it becomes uniform and elastic. Add softened butter and continue kneading until the dough easily leaves your hands. Put it in a large bowl, cover with a towel, and put in a warm place so that it fits twice. Then shift to a flour-sprinkled board and form small round buns. Put them on a baking sheet and let rise again. Grease with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake at 225 g C for 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool, covering with a towel.
