Fish casserole




2 medium-sized herring (500 g)
300 g pork
1 cup milk
6-7 potatoes
1 egg
salt.

Soaked herring (if it is very salty), washed and chopped pork in small pieces, peeled and cut into thin slices of potatoes lay in a thick-walled pan in layers in the following order: to the bottom - pieces of melted pork fat, potatoes mixed with pieces of herring pork, then again potatoes , pork with fish, and so several layers, but the last layer should be potato.

Pour a little boiling water into the pan and put in the oven without closing the lid. If the liquid evaporates, add more boiling water. 10-15 minutes before the readiness to fill with a chatterbox of milk with an egg. In the oven, the dish will be ready in about an hour.
