1.5 kg of potatoes
1 beetroot
2 apples
2 pickles
1 carcass of herring.

Jacket potatoes in salted water. Then peel it and cut into cubes. Cook the beets separately and cut into cubes as well. Peel, remove the seed boxes and dice apples and pickles. Peel the salted herring by removing the skin and removing the bones, cut it into fillets and cut them into slices (pre-soak the salted herring in cold water to prevent the salad from becoming too salty).
